Whenever you conduct a responsible email
marketing campaign you should always provide a legitimate way for the
recipients to be removed from your mailing lists. In the past, email
marketers have had to endure the time-consuming chore of manually
removing these requests one by one from their email address lists. Not
any more. Based on customer feedback, we have developed a program that
automatically processes these remove requests for you. We call it
Prospect Remover. Here are just a few of its features:
-
Helps you run a responsible bulk email
campaign by honoring remove requests. -
Very simple program to learn and operate.
Once configured it runs on its own. -
Automatically creates remove lists that can
be used in Prospect Mailer. -
No more wasting precious time manually
honoring remove requests. -
Frees your inbox of clutter so you can focus
on your other business emails. -
No more worrying about
accidentally downloading email viruses.
The concept of using
Prospect Remover is simple. When you send out your emails with Prospect Mailer,
simply add a line of text at the end of your email that explains to the
recipient how to be removed from your mailing lists such as, "If you wish
to be removed from our mailing list, send an email to remove@your-domain.com."
Then enter the email address that you want your remove requests to into
Prospect Remover, and it will process all of your remove requests
automatically and then add them to a text file. This text file can be
loaded into Prospect Manager or Prospect Mailer to remove the addresses
from your email address lists. It's that simple.
Let's get
started!
Screen #1
When you open Prospect Remover, the first screen you will see is this:

This screen allows you to enter the information for the email account you
want to receive your remove requests with. In the first
field you will need to enter the mail server name for the email address
you want to use. In the second field, you will need to enter your
username for this account. In the third field, enter your password for
this account. You do not need to enter the email address itself. *Note -
some web-based email addresses such as Hotmail® and AOL® email accounts will
not work with this software. You need to use a standard pop3 account
which is provided by most ISPs (Internet service providers). If you have any questions regarding the mail server name, username, or
password, contact the ISP that gave you the email address or your network
administrator if you have your own mail server. Once you have completed
filling in the fields on this screen,
click the "next" button.
Screen #2

The next screen that comes up will allow you to select or create a file
to save your removal request email addresses in. If you select a file
that has already been created, the program will append (add to) the list.
Prospect Remover adds the email addresses to this list as the remove
requests are being
received, so you will never have to worry about losing any email addresses if you accidentally drop your
Internet connection.
Screen #3

This third and last screen is where the program processes the remove
requests. To begin the process, simply click on the "Go!" button. To stop
it for any reason, click the "Stop!" button. In the left window of the
screen you will see the email addresses that are being added to your
remove file. On the right side of the screen you will see the mail server
activity as your email address account is being checked for new remove
requests. On the lower left you can see how many addresses have been
added to your file, and how many there are left to be added.
To the left of the "Go!" button you will see a check box and a window that
says "Check every 5 minutes". If you check the box,
Prospect Remover will automatically pop (check) the account
based on the frequency that you select. The options are every five
minutes, every 15 minutes, every half hour, every hour, or every two
hours. If you get a lot of remove requests, we recommend setting the
frequency to every five minutes.
After processing your remove requests with
Prospect Remover you can then load the file it created into
Prospect Mailer which will automatically remove them from
your mailings. We're confident that
Prospect Remover will make your life much easier when it
comes to honoring remove requests!
