Screen #1

When you open Prospect Finder, the first screen you will see is this:

This screen allows you to select the Outlook Express folder(s) that you would like to use for your search. To locate these folders on your computer, either click the "Add File" button to manually direct Prospect Finder to them, or click the "Auto-Discover" button to haveProspect Finder locate them for you. Once you have located the folders, click on the ones that you want Prospect Finder to collect email address from. Once you have made your selections, click the "next" button.

The next screen that you will see is this:

This screen allows you to create or select a file to save your email addresses in after Prospect Finder collects them for you. If you select an existing file to save your addresses in, this file will be appended, which means that Prospect Finder will add the new email addresses to the file and leave the existing addresses in the file untouched. If you choose to create a new file to save your addresses in, Prospect Finder will create a new file and add your collected email addresses to it. Note: By creating or selecting a file before you run your search, Prospect Finder will save all email addresses it collects up until you stop the search. Even if your computer goes off due to a power outage, etc., your files will be spared. Once you have created or selected the file you want to save your email addresses in, click the "next" button.

The next screen that you will see is this:

This screen shows allows you to start or stop a crawl, and also allows you to view the current email address collection process in detail. Once you press the "Go!" button, your crawl will start. The upper left window of the screen shows the current memory load on your computer, while the lower left window shows the email addresses currently being collected.

The statistics on the right of the screen will reflect the search criteria you entered. It also shows the number of total, unique, and duplicate email addresses that have been collected (any duplicate email addresses will be automatically discarded). You can also view the time your crawl started and stopped. To stop your crawl for any reason, simply click on the "Stop!" button. Once your crawl is completed or you have stopped it, click the "next" button.

The final screen that you will see is this:

This screen will allow you to view the email address file that you just collected, or you can click on the "next" button to start a new crawl.
